Conchita Sandau is a multidisciplinary, Spanish-Canadian artist based in Ajax, Ontario,
She was born and raised in The Netherlands in a busy Andalusian household from Spain with 5 older siblings.
Self taught from a young age, she immersed herself in different mediums. materials, art styles and subject matters.
She is inspired by the stories told by people she meets from all walks of life,
through stories about culture, family, history, memories, love, loss, our passions and desires.
Through nostalgia and the sentimental value these things bring to our lives, we find our humanity and what connects us.
Conchita is often commissioned to draw or paint portraits of loved ones or beloved pets, things or scenes that connect us with our culture and traditions, past or present, moments in life we want to celebrate, fan art and other subjects we deeply connect with.
